Women In Technology Hunter — a network for the women working in and around technology in our region.

The network brings together women working in and around technology to connect, share experiences and support career growth. It exists to foster learning, meaningful relationships and collective influence on the future of technology in the Hunter.

Built as a collective rather than a club, the network is shaped by its members. Participants help set the agenda, share knowledge and create opportunities for one another.

Our goal is to ensure more women in the Hunter’s technology ecosystem feel seen, connected, informed and confident in their roles.

What began as a series of informal lunches after the SlashNEW conference 2025, turned into a growing, grassroots network. Our network has grown into a supportive and welcoming community where women working in, with, or looking to step into technology show up for each other, share experiences, open doors, and have a few laughs along the way. The network hosts informal meet-ups centred on learning and community, aligned to members’ roles and areas of interest. These gatherings create space for honest, practical conversations about technology capabilities, inclusion and the lived experience of being a woman in technology — grounded in the local Hunter context.
